An Eye on Dental AI

One of the recent trends for diagnostic and pre-surgical imaging in oral healthcare has been the introduction of a simplified digital workflow. The solid basis of such workflow can often be accomplished by 2D and 3D radiological images. While there have been attempts to automate individual anatomical segmentations and pathological detection tasks, there is a scientific gap when it comes to automated diagnosis and presurgical planning for clinical use. This can be realized by a dedicated Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm, which should allow maintaining accuracy, raising reliability and consistency, meanwhile keeping efficiency.  The present lecture will demonstrate development and validation of AI-developments of radiological diagnosis and segmentation for presurgical planning.
