Artificial intelligence in dentistry; the dawn of a smart new era

Since the beginning, dentistry has advanced significantly. Dentistry has developed steadily over the years, from simple hand instruments to dental drills, implants and lately the digital dentistry evolution. 

Most recent advances in dentistry now is the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) as a result of the rapid advancement of technology. Although artificial intelligence (AI) may still seem like science-fiction, it is rapidly integrating itself into our daily lives as dental professionals . 

From diagnostics to treatment planning, artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionise several facets of dentistry. In this presentation the potential uses of AI in dentistry will e discussed, as well as their advantages, drawbacks, and prospects for the future.
